The advantage of the vineyards of Bodegas BG is that most of them are old vines and have the pure clone of the native grape, Grenache and Carignan. With this clone and others chosen from the best vineyards around the Priorat, have been grafted the rest of the vineyards that have been acquired over time. Another advantage is the location of the vines and soil type. Gratallops is known as a wine village tradition where, due to a combination of ground slate and a special micro-climate,made the wines of excellent quality. Today the winery owns 15 hectares of vineyards with black and white Garnacha , Carignan, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viura and the future is to have 20-30 that are kept for planting. The homogeneity of soils and levels of sun exposure, give each vineyard distinguishing characteristics, in maturation as both the organoleptic characteristics which give the wines. All the plantations are oriented so take advantage of the maximum brightness.
